It showcases what is Laval famous for, revealing deep roots in Quebecois history. The Îles-Laval area offers unique pre-colonial layouts.

Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, a protected river archipelago, boasts over 150 species of birds. Its 26 km of navigable waterways are a top attraction in Laval for kayaking. After sunset, the illuminated Old Sainte-Rose district offers quaint bistros and live jazz.

Why visit Laval for food? Explore the Marché Public 440 for local cheeses, artisan breads, and Quebec-grown produce like Foin de Crau strawberries. Seek out bakeries for traditional pâté chinois or a tourtière, often using family recipes passed down generations.

Great city to explore in early spring!

Laval is a really solid pick for a city trip. Centropolis area had loads to do - good restaurants, shops, and it never felt too crowded. People were super friendly and easy to talk to. Really enjoyed the whole stay.

Way more to see than I expected

Laval has a lot going on for a city its size. The Cosmodome is genuinely cool, not just for kids - I learned a ton and had a great time. Food spots around the area were decent and affordable. Easy to get around too.

Perfect winter getaway near Montreal

Came over from the US for a long weekend and Laval delivered. It's close to Montreal but has its own thing going on. The Centropolis rink was fun and the local poutine spots did not disappoint. Clean, easy city to navigate.

Loved the family-friendly feel

Took the kids here during the holidays and it was a great call. Plenty to keep everyone busy. The Cosmodome was a highlight for the whole family. The city feels safe, clean, and well-organized. French-Canadian food was a big win too.

Really enjoyable shopping and food scene

Carrefour Laval is massive - easily one of the better malls I've been to in Canada. But it's the local bistros and sugar shack-style food nearby that really stood out. Good combo of modern and traditional. Would tell any foodie to check it out.

Chill and easy city with a lot of character

Laval doesn't try too hard to impress you and that's what makes it work. Walked around Sainte-Rose, which has this older, quieter feel compared to the rest of the city. Really charming old streets and a couple of good cafés. Felt genuine.
